St. Mary Magdalene Parish was born out of the need to provide the growing Catholic community of Gilbert with a home of its own. Parishes had split off of St. Anne’s Catholic Church due to the fast-growing population in the Gilbert area, and St. Mary Magdalene was established on March 17, 2014, to serve this community of faith. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in USA.
