St Agatha's Church was built in 1903, and until its completion was part of St Peter's Church in Sparkbrook. It was built around the same time as the other churches in the parish which includes St Peter's, St Paul's and St Agatha's. It was designed by the noted Birmingham architect C.E. Bateman and has a red-brick exterior with an 85 foot tower. The bell frame was added to the church in 1936. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in England.
