History:

The SkyPoint Observation Deck is the highest point on the Gold Coast, and one of the most popular tourist attractions in Queensland. Located at the Q1 Tower in Surfers Paradise, it opened to the public in 2005, and has since become the Gold Coast's most popular lookout. SkyPoint's construction was completed by Australian construction company Probuild, and the observation deck features a 270 degree panoramic view over the Gold Coast's beaches and skyline. The observation deck also features interactive displays on local attractions, and a 'Skypoint Climb' that involves scaling stairs up to a platform on the outside of the building to take in the views. The observation deck has seen a number of record-breaking events over the years, including a horse trek up the Q1 Tower in 2011, and a bungee jump off the observation platform in 2017.
