Skt. Maria & Skt. Markus is a Lutheran community church located in Copenhagen, Denmark. The church was built in the 16th century in the traditional brick Gothic style and is renowned for its grandeur. It is one of the largest and oldest churches of the city and is popular among tourists. History The church was founded in 1515 and completed in 1528. Throughout its long history, the church underwent various changes and additions, to accommodate the growing population in the area. Many times the church was damaged during wars or by fire.
