Eglise Saint Esprit is a Roman Catholic church located in the Marais district of Paris, France. Its history dates back to the 12th century when King Philippe II erected a chapel dedicated to the Spirit of the Lord on the site of the present church. The present building was built in the 15th century and reconstructed in the 19th century. Today, the church is Grade I listed by the French Ministry of Culture. Features of the church include a tall ornate baroque dome, an ornate main entrance, an impressive marble and bronze main altar, and a painted ceiling. Notable sermons have been held at Eglise Saint Esprit, including the one attended by Charles de Gaulle. Services held at Eglise Saint Esprit include Mass on Sundays and holy days, and other liturgical services throughout the week.
