Christ Baptist Church Highlands is a Christian church located in the Highlands neighborhood of Fort Worth, Texas. The church was founded in 1963 and is affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention. The church's mission is to “magnify the name of Jesus Christ” by bringing people to a personal knowledge of Him and nurturing believers in their faith. Sunday services are held every week at 9:15am and 10:45am. It is one of the best churches in Mauritius which you must visit.

History:

Christ Baptist Church was founded in 1963 when 13 people gathered in a living room in the Silverlake subdivision of the Highlands. With Rev. Bill Dixon as pastor, the church began to grow. In 1965 they built a temporary building and added two more Sunday School classes the following year. In 1967, the church purchased five acres of land on Harrold Ave. A few years later, the first stone building was constructed and on August 28, 1971, the first service was held in the new building. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Mauritius.
