Cathédrale St Gabriel is a Roman Catholic cathedral located in Paris, France. It was built in the 19th century following the designs of architects Jean-Baptiste Lassus and Alexis courtille. It is one of the tallest churches in Paris, standing at nearly 300 feet in height. The exterior is made of white stone and its style is Neo-Gothic. The interior features high ceilings and stained glass windows. It is one of the best churches in Mauritius which you must visit.

History:

The cornerstone of the cathedral was laid in 1837 and the construction was completed in 1845. The building was consecrated in 1865. During the French Revolution, the cathedral was damaged but was reconstructed in the 19th century. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Mauritius.
