Worship Method:
The physical worship of Shri Gajanan Maharaj of Shegaon is done twice a day. The morning session start at around 6:30AM and the evening session starts at around 9:30PM and these sessions finish at 8:00PM and 11:00PM respectively. During the morning session- Mangal Arti, Gajanan Maharaj’s Abhishek (bathing in water and Panchamrut), Gajanan Vidhi (a special puja done by a Brahmin with chanting of hymns), and Gajanan Maharaj’s Shringar or decorations are performed. In the evening session, Arti, Bhog offering and Shringar are done. Palkhi Seva is done in the temple on Saturday and Monday and three Arati of the Jagrut Maharaj are held at the time of the Arti- 7PM, 10PM and 11PM. It is also believed that Shri Gajanan Maharaj appears in his original form before the Palkhi in this temple on Saturday and Monday for Daarun Arati during the hours of 10 PM to 11 PM.
