The Chaturshringi temple in Pune is an ancient 8th-century temple dedicated to the Goddess Chaturshringi. It is one of the most important Shakti temple of Pune and the second most visited temple in the city after Shree Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Temple. The temple is also popular for its Tembhekar Ganapati Nath Datta. The worship method used in Chaturshringi Temple is similar to that used in other Hindu temples. The methods used in Chaturshringi Temple are Aachaman, Sankalp, Panchopchar Puja and Abhishekam. During Aachaman, devotees offer water to Lord Ganesha and meditate upon His virtues. Offering water to Ganesha symbolizes purification of body, mind and soul.
