St. Lawrence Anglican Cathedral Ambohimanoro is a cathedral located in Antananarivo, the capital of Madagascar. The cathedral, which is part of the Anglican Diocese of Central Madagascar, was constructed in 1859 and is one of the oldest churches in the country. The cathedral is named after St. Lawrence, the 3rd-century Christian martyr who is the patron saint of the Anglican Church in Madagascar. The cathedral is employed mainly for services conducted in English, but there are occasional services led in French. It offers a sanctuary for both locals and foreigners alike to experience the culturally diverse spiritual and cultural activities that take place in the cathedral. The church is also the home of the Bishop of Central Madagascar, the Most Reverend David Goodwin. Each Sunday, the cathedral is filled with churchgoers who come to celebrate morning prayer service and to participate in choir and bible study groups. Notable activities include the annual St. Lawrence Patronal Festival, which takes place in August, as well as the Blessing of the Faithful each October.
