History The Seventh-day Adventist Church in Antsahasoa was established in 1902. Since its inception, the church has grown to include four local churches that serve the community. The churches are located in Ambohidrapeto, Farafangana, Vohilica, and Taolagnaro. The first church was established with the help of missionaries from the American Indian Missionary Society, and was the first Adventist church in the area. It is one of the five oldest Adventist churches in the world, with the other four being located in the US, India, Africa, and Switzerland. The church has a membership of over 900 members and serves to spread the message of Christ to the local community. These services include Sabbath School Programs, Bible studies, preaching, and worship services.
