FJKM Kristy Fanantenana In Madagascar is a Catholic religious institute of consecrated women in Madagascar founded in 1905. The congregation, whose name is an acronym of Fiangonan' Jesoa Kristy eto Madagasikara (Congregation of Jesus Christ in Madagascar) was founded by the French priest, Jean-Gabriel-Xavier Balisson de Vallée d’Aoste, to serve the Catholic mission in Madagascar and respond to the needs of the Madagascans. The congregation's mission is to serve the Church, to participate in the evangelization, destitute relief, cultural adaptation, education and social services for the enrichment of humanity and the advancement of its people. It provides assistance to the most vulnerable people, tending the sick, teaching, leading catechism, preserving cultural traditions, organizing of seminars, supervising students and providing training for young people.
