FJKM Atsinanantsena in Madagascar is an Evangelical Reformed Church created as a result of the merger of four Christian denominations in Madagascar. It was formally constituted in 1949 and adopted the name FJKM Atsinanantsena in 1998. The FJKM Atsinanantsena has a strong emphasis on evangelism, biblical education and faith-based social work and has a long history of theological and social action initiatives in Madagascar. It is strongly committed to protecting the environment, helping communities to become self-sustaining, and advocating for justice and equity in economic and political matters. The FJKM supports primary and secondary schools, literacy programs, vocational training, and scholarships. It works with the government and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to address healthcare issues such as malaria, HIV/AIDS, women's health, and nutrition. The FJKM Atsinanantsena also supports economic development activities through its network of farmers' cooperatives.
