The English-Speaking Adventist Church of Madagascar (ESACM) was established in 1986 by a group of parents and students living in and around the capitol of Antananarivo. The group began by meeting in a large house in the suburbs of the capital city. Within a decade, the church had grown rapidly and purchased a plot of land, where the church and its accompanying church hall were built in 1996. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Madagascar.
