The site holds significant religious and cultural value for the Mahafaly and Betsileo people, as it marks the boundary between their homelands and is said to be the place where they made peace and began living together. The site boasts cultural and religious artifacts, including shrines, tombs, and a 102-foot mound called By Kroboy, which is believed to be the birthplace of King Andriamenitahy. The area also features a scattering of menhirs and stone structures, making it an interesting place to explore and learn about traditional Malagasy culture and customs. Moreover, Akany Andringitana is home to seasonal events and festivals, such as the annual Andriamorombe festival, which celebrates the legendary king.
