The church is based on the Pentecostal denomination and is part of the Living Faith Church Worldwide (LFCWW), also known as Winners’ Chapel International. Winners Chapel was founded by Bishop David Oyedepo on May 5, 1983. It was then known as Liberation Faith Hour Ministry. On October 5, 1983, it changed its name to Winners Chapel, and it is currently the only church in Nigeria ranked as a megachurch. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Luxembourg.
