The site of the current Eglise Bettembourg has been used as a worship site since at least the 14th century, with parts of the current church dating back to the 17th century. During the 19th century, much of the church was reconstructed in a Neoclassical style. In 1870, the new church was completed, and it was given its current name. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Luxembourg.
