History:

St. Ignatius of Loyola Church is a Jesuit Roman Catholic church located in Vilnius, Lithuania. It was built in 1728–31 by the Jesuits. It was the first Baroque church in Vilnius, and one of the main Jesuit churches in the city until 1773, when all Jesuit activities in the former Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth were abolished. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Lithuania.

St. Ignatius of Loyola Church is notable for its combination of Baroque and classical elements. It features a central dome surrounded by four smaller towers. The interior is covered with frescoes depicting scenes from the life of St. Ignatius. The monuments, tombs and other decorations include works by some of the most famous artists of the period such as Gian Lorenzo Bernini and Andrea Pozzo.
Services:
