, The Church of the Intercession of the Most Holy Mother of God is a Russian Orthodox Church located in Riga, Latvia. It was built from 1870 to 1873 and is one of the largest churches in the city. It was designed by the Russian architect Andrey Schafer and is a part of the Moscow-Petrograd-Moscow architectural style. The church is dedicated to Virgin Mary and her intercession, which is celebrated on October 14. It is also known as one of the Seven Churches of Riga. The church is adorned with a collection of old icons, including those of St Vladimir, St Sergius and St Nicholas. The church has also hosted musical concerts, and serves as a venue for conferences and seminars. It offers many services such as baptisms, weddings and memorial services.
