St.Gregorios Indian Orthodox Maha Edavaka (Church) Kuwait is the first Indian Orthodox Church in Kuwait. It was founded in 1979 with the blessings of Moran Mar Baselios Marthoma Mathews II, the Catholicos of the East in India and the Metropolitan of Third Nazrani Diocese. It is the one of very few Indian Orthodox churches in the Gulf region as a short term mission of the Indian Orthodox church. The church offers services with traditional Indian Orthodox rituals and traditions. It celebrates the main festivals such as Christmas, Easter, Vishu, Onam, Feast of St. Mary, Feast of St. Gregorios, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Thanksgiving, etc. It also offers counseling services, Sunday School for children and Youth Fellowship meetings. The church serves as a place of social gathering, recreation and fellowship for the Indian community in Kuwait.
