History:

is a small Baroque style chapel located in the town of Yaguarón, central-west of Paraguay. Constructed in 1761 to honour San Buenaventura, the chapel was declared a National Monument in 1975. Built in the typical Baroque-style of the time, the chapel has a Latin cross-shaped floorplan and consists of a single nave with a large arched facade along with two bell towers. Inside the chapel is decorated with oil canvases and sculptures. The chapel is well known for its rich history, having played an important role in various battles that happened in Yaguarón during the 19th century.
