The main goals are to combine biblical content with practical activities in order to meet physical and spiritual needs in the communities it serves and to promote psychological and emotional healing. Nuestra Casa Grande is a non-profit, non-denominational Christian ministry located in Paraguay. It was founded in 2005 by Rev. Julio César Rodríguez and his wife, Laura, in the city of Asunción. The ministry is focused on providing Bible-based education, evangelism, and pastoral leadership training to serve communities in poverty-stricken areas and areas affected by political and social circumstances. Its mission is to equip the citizens of Paraguay with the spiritual tools to become effective leaders and serve as a model for peace and reconciliation in the country. It has a very close relationship with Nuestra Casa Grande and works together to reach communities across the country. The ministry is especially active in the Department of Zárate, near the border of Argentina. The area is home to a large Roma population, one of the most marginalized population groups in Europe. Nuestra Casa Grande works with this group to provide Bible teaching and organizational development, so that they may become better equipped to share their faith with others.
