Worship Method:

Shri Digambar Jain Siddha Kshetra in Lucknow follows the teachings of Acharyas and the Bhagavat Scriptures of Digambar Jainism. Visitors take permission from the priests before entering the temple and are required to remove their footwear before entering. The offerings that visitors make include the chanting of mantras and stotras such as the Mahamantra, the Pratikramana, the Matrika Stava, the Namaskara Stava, and the Dashaanga Stava. The prayers are offered to the images of Lord Mahavira, LordParshvanath, Lord Adinath, and the 24th tirthankara. The main ritual of worshiping is the Padmapani ritual which is conducted once a day at 4:30 pm. The ritual includes an offering of flowers and an aarti with a diya after a prayer is chanted. After the offering, the devotees are asked to rest their feet on a leather-stumped and sit in a meditative posture. A few drops of water are sprinkled on the devotees' feet and their forehead. The devotee is then made to keep his/her hands upward and chant the Panch Pratikramana or the Panch Padam Stotra and salute to the deities. The priests perform abhishekha on the statues and ask the devotee to view them. After chanting the prescribed hymns, devotees join their palms and offer prayers to the Lord.
