The Rishabhadeva Temple in Prayagraj (Allahabad) follows the traditions of Vaishnavism, which is one of the major branches of Hinduism. The temple is dedicated to Lord Rishabhdev, the first Tirthankara in the Jain lineage. The worship method in the temple follows the rituals of Panch Kalyanak Puja, which include: Akhand Path or uninterrupted chanting of specific scriptures, Panch Kalyanak Puja and Shodshopchar Puja or sixteen steps of worship. Akhand Path is the process of continuously chanting/reading holy scriptures like the Navkar Mantra by worshipers in the temple. This is usually done during the whole day. Panch Kalyanak Puja is the worship ceremony which involves five acts which are Avatvaan (or Birth celebration), Nishra (Diksha Celebration), Pratishtha (establishment of the idol), Vitaragata (attainment of omniscience) and Kaivalay (liberation).
