At Radha Vallabh temple, Vrindavan, daily worship starts with the offering of panchamrita (a combination of sacred ingredients like ganga jal, honey, sugar, ghee, curd) to the deities. After this, the temple authorities perform the abhishek pooja (the ceremonial bathing of deities). Then, they arati (a ritual offering of lamps and incense) and dhoop offer to the deities. This is followed by bhajan kirtan (singing of devotional songs), kirtan (chanting of mantras), and shringar pooja (ceremonial dressing of deities). After this, the deities are taken out for the evening Mangal aarti (a ritual offering of lamps) and all devotees are allowed to take part in the pooja.
