Worship Method:

The main worship method of Bade Hanuman Ji Mandir, Prayagraj (Allahabad), in Uttar Pradesh is through the traditional system of pooja. The daily pooja rituals start at 4 AM and last till 8 PM each day. The morning pooja starts with the traditional Mangla (early morning) Aarti, which is also known as the ‘Manjiri Uma Aarti’. Then, a special Shiv Aarti is performed at 4:30 AM, followed by the Dandvi Aarti (the 5:30 AM pooja). The noon pooja, or Madhya Aarti, starts at 12 PM, followed by the other five Aartis at 1:30 PM, 3:00 PM, 5:30 PM, 7:00 PM, and 8:00 PM. Apart from the daily pooja, the temple has special pooja's that are performed as part of festivals and other special occasions. These poojas include the Lakshmi Nranjan Aarti, the Varananirnjan Aarti, and the Shiv Sahasranam Aarti.
