Ahimsa Sthal (also known as Ahinsa Sthal) in Delhi is a temple dedicated to Ahimsa or Non-violence. It is located in Model Town, near the Delhi University. The temple was built in the year 1985 by S.S. Jhabbar, former Member of Parliament. The temple follows a unique worship method. Devotees are expected to bring offerings such as grains, flowers, fruits, and incense. All these offerings are blessed by the temple priest. After offering these items, devotees light a lamp and chant the Vishnu Sahasranama before entering the temple for darshan. The priest then recites from the Bhagavad Gita, and devotees offer prayers and chants related to ahimsa. The worship ends with chants of Omkar, Aum Shanti three times.
