History:
The church was founded in 2004 by Rev. Joseph Hinga, who had previously been a pastor in a neighboring rural area. He sought to bring evangelism and salvation to those living in the slums of Nairobi and the surrounding area. Initially, the church rented a hall for services, but as the congregation grew, a larger facility was needed, and in 2007 the Hinga family purchased the land to build the Rehoboth Sanctuary. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Kenya.
