It was founded by the late Bishop Tom Mosonik in 1978 and serves as a model for church growth and spiritual renewal for the nation and the African continent. The church has been established for over 40 years and continues to be a beacon of hope for millions in Kenya and beyond. It has been credited with inspiring many prominent Kenyan personalities in both the public and private sectors such as former Kenyan Prime Minister Raila Odinga, former Kenyan President Daniel Arap Moi, former Kenyan Prime Minister James Tucyemba, among others.
