The Baptist Mission of Kenya (BMK) is a Christian NGO that works to rescue, educate and restore vulnerable children in Kenya. It was founded in 1982 by David and Sioned Julius and is now run by the sixth generation of their family. The Mission’s main aim is to ensure that vulnerable children in Kenya have access to quality healthcare, education and other basic needs. The Baptist Mission of Kenya was founded in 1982 by David and Sioned Julius, who moved to Kenya from Wales. They saw the needs in Kenya and wanted to make a difference. Initially, the organization was mainly involved in children’s rescues and education, but it has since grown to include broader social justice and advocacy programs. BMK now works in slums like Mathare, Kibera and Huruma in Nairobi, as well as other provinces around Kenya.
