The temple is devoted to the Shakti of Maa Durga and is believed to be located on the dais of a sacred lake. Devotees visit this temple in large numbers to seek Maa Durga’s blessings and grace. The temple opens for worship at 9 am in the morning and is closed by 7 pm in the evening. Devotees are expected to perform 'Aarti' and chant 'Shri Durga Mantra'; offering 'prasadam' (sacred flowers, fruits and food) to the goddess.
