There is also a free kitchen, known as Langar, which serves food to the devotees throughout the year. The food is prepared from donations received by devotees from all over the country. 8. Worship Method:
The worship of the Dargah of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah in Jammu and Kashmir is similar to the worship at other Sufi shrines. The devotees gather at the shrine to perform salawat (invocations to God and Prophet Muhammad) of the saint. Prayers and supplications are offered, and the devotees also perform zikr (remembrance of God’s name) and qawwali (Sufi music). Gifts and offerings are then given to the custodian of the shrine. A special dish called murabba is served to the devotees in thanksgiving to the saint.
