History:
Spring Garden Seventh-day Adventist Church was founded in 1885 when a group of pioneers arrived in Spring Garden, Alabama, looking for a place to practice their faith. The land for the church was purchased from J.C. Burleson and the building was constructed using hand-hewn logs from Burleson’s sawmill. After the church was constructed, services began in 1890 and a congregation of approximately 80 people regularly attended. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Jamaica.
