History:
The roots of the church can be traced back to the late 1960s when Bishop Dr. Blackwell became a member of the United Pentecostal Church International (UPCI) in America. After completing his studies there, he returned to Jamaica and started to organize a group of people he had met during his time in America. Under his leadership, the group started to collaborate and developed the fundamental belief and teachings that would later become the foundation for the church. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Jamaica.
