History The Portmore Missionary church originally began its operations as a mission of Port Maria Mission at the corner of Stewart Town and Blenheim in 1949. In 1969, the church was relocated to its current location in Portmore, and quickly grew to become one of the largest and most influential churches in the area. Over the years, the church has been actively involved in the community, and leaders of the church have served in various capacities in the political, social, educational, and religious sectors.
