Graan Monastery is a Benedictine Abbey in County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland. It was founded in 1721 by Bishop William O’Daly of Kilmore diocese and is widely regarded as the longest-running Roman Catholic house of worship in the country. History:

The original foundation was located in County Cavan in 1716 and was moved to its current location in 1721. After being founded, the abbey was blessed and opened by Bishop O’Daly. However, the abbey at Graan soon fell into difficulty and was disbanded by Papal Decree in 1814 due to its poor financial situation. It was revived in 1838 and was placed under the care of the new Bishop of Kilmore, Rt. Rev. Dr. William McNally.
