The Al-Sheikh Yahya Mosque, located in Baghdad, Iraq, was built in the 19th century. It is an impressive Ottoman-style stone building with two tall minarets and two cupolas, one of which is covered with bright blue tiles. The walls are adorned with intricate brickwork in many different designs. The interior is also decorated with colourful tiles as well as painted ceilings and wooden beams. The mosque is situated in a large covered courtyard surrounding by a garden and a marble staircase. The courtyard also has a large prayer hall, which can seat up to 500 worshippers. The mosque is also home to several historic artifacts, including a Holy Quran from the late 1400’s and clay tablets from the Sumerian era. This is why, it is considered one of the most beautiful mosque in the world.
