Overview:
The Laxmangarh Temple is an iconic structure in the town of Laxmangarh and was built by Raja Laxman Singh of Sikar in the 19th century. The temple is dedicated to the goddess Laxmi, the goddess of wealth and prosperity. The temple complex is one of the largest and most prominent Hindu temples in the Rajasthan region. It is constructed of red sandstone, and is surrounded by lush greenery. The temple is home to several shrines and idols, and the towering temple is visible from afar. History:
The main shrine of the temple is dedicated to Goddess Laxmi and is home to a large idol of the Goddess. The idol of Goddess Laxmi in the temple is 15 feet tall and depicts the Goddess sitting on a lion-shaped throne. The other shrines and idols at the Laxmangarh Temple include those dedicated to Lord Krishna, along with Lord Shiva, his consort Parvati and his son Ganesha.
