Grave of Mohammed Shah is a shrine complex located in the city of Bhopal, India. The shrine houses the tomb of Mohammed Shah, the last ruler of Mughal India. The tomb was constructed by his widow in 1868, a few years after his death. The complex also includes several other graves, including those of his family members, local rulers, and political figures. This national monument of India portrays the history and culture of the country.
History:
The most prominent feature at Grave of Mohammed Shah is the elaborate tomb. The tomb stands 50 feet in height and is built in a traditional Islamic architectural style. It is adorned with intricate inlaid stone carvings, floral motifs and calligraphy. The outer walls of the tomb are inscribed with verses from the Holy Quran.
