o Fort is a small coastal fort situated at Anjengo, 8 km south of Varkala, in Thiruvananthapuram district of Kerala, India. It is also known as Anjumgama or Anjunganam. It was constructed in the eighteenth century by the British East India Company, with the permission of the queen of Attingal. This national monument of India portrays the history and culture of the country.

History:

Anjengo Fort is an example of the traditional military architecture of the colonial era. The fort has a total area of about 2 acres and is surrounded by a moat. Inside the fort, there is a pentagonal structure with five bastions. There are also dungeons and gunpowder magazines inside the fort.
