History:

In 1983, Reverend Lawrence Chestnut felt led by God to start a church in Tucville. Reverend Chestnut and a small group of dedicated women and men began meeting in the civic center in what is now the Old Towne center. Over time, the numbers in the congregation steadily increased, and in 1988 the church purchased the property which it currently occupies. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Guyana.
