History:

The humble beginnings of Moriah S.D.A Church began in 1910 when a small group of African American Seventh-day Adventist members met in a brush arbor at the home of Mrs. Ida M. Clark. The first building of Moriah S.D.A Church was completed in 1911 and then dedicated by Ellen G. White, an Adventist leader and co-founder of the church. During the 1920s, church members relocated to the Wake Forest Road community and expanded the church building to accommodate the growing congregation.
