The Guyana Conference of Seventh-Day Adventists is a regional organization of the worldwide Seventh-Day Adventist Church. It was established in 1953 and covers the geographical area of the country of Guyana. The conference is organized into eight local churches, and its headquarters are located in Georgetown, Guyana. The Guyana Conference serves over 6,000 members through its churches, programs, and institutions. The primary mission of the conference is to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ and to "empower members to accomplish the mission of the Church." The conference focuses on spiritual growth and nurturing, encouraging members to study and apply the teachings of the Bible, participating in various outreach and evangelism initiatives, providing social and health services to those in need, and supporting health ministries. Other areas of ministry include education, family living, disaster relief, and stewardship and finances. The Guyana Conference of Seventh-Day Adventists is affiliated with the South American Division of the Seventh-Day Adventist World Church. The conference is governed by a council of nine elected members, including a president, vice-president, and treasurer. The conference is open to all who accept the teachings and beliefs of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
