Glory Light Tabernacle was founded in 1953 by Mother Annie Kirby. Being a widow, mother Kirby believed that she had been called by God to plant a church in Charlotte, North Carolina. She purchased an old church building and established Glory Light Tabernacle. Since then, the church has grown in size and stature and is often referred to as the “Mother Church” of the Charismatic Fellowship. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Guyana.
