Charlotte Street Wesleyan Church was founded by Rev. John W. Bundy, a minister of the African Methodist Episcopal Church. It was founded with the intent to provide spiritual growth and minister to African Americans in Winston-Salem. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Guyana.
