The Shree Swaminarayan Mandir – Gadhada is based upon the teachings and preaching of Swaminarayan, who founded the Swaminarayan Sampraday. The temple follows the Pancho Vyuh philosophy, which states that there are five different ways to worship God. These are: Bhakti (devotion), Smarana (rememberance), Pusti (prayer), Vandana (praise), and Seva (service). The temple also performs the five daily pujas namely Jai Puja, Abhishek Puja, Mangal Aarti, Vishnu Puja, and Swami Sandhya Aarti every day. The Swaminarayan ideology and worship method places great emphasis on divinity and devotion to God. Worshippers come to the temple to perform a variety of rituals that include offering flowers and incense, chanting mantras, and meditative chanting of prayers.
