History:

: The Helsinki Finland Temple is the first temple in Finland and the second temple in the Nordic region. It was announced in October 2010, and the groundbreaking took place on November 18, 2012 with President Dieter F. Uchtdorf of the First Presidency of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints presiding. The temple was dedicated on October 25, 2020. The Helsinki Finland Temple stands as one of only four temples in Northern Europe and serves the Church’s membership in Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and parts of Russia. Worship Method:

The Helsinki Finland Temple is a house of prayer and worship for members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) in Finland. There is a main worship area for leaders and congregational members, which features audio and visual aids in both Finnish and English. The services consist of monthly worship and general conference broadcasts from Salt Lake City, Saturday Testimony Meetings, Sunday School classes (for adults and children), and occasional missionary services. Word of Wisdom and other LDS gospel principles are discussed and proclaimed during the services. Hymns and other sacred music are also an important part of the service.
