Enbakibrti laelay Adi Orthodox church In Eritrea is an independent Ethiopian AegWA Church in Eritrea. It is one of the three churches that constitute the country's Orthodox Tewahedo Church delegation. Its history is relatively new, emerging in 1941 during the Italian occupation and expanding its influence in the local Eritrean Orthodox community ever since. As an independent church, it follows the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo faith and shares much of the larger regional orthodox church’s traditions of iconography, monasticism and liturgy.
