The church building dates back to 1909, when it was built to replace an earlier 19th century structure. It is a Grade II listed building, and the vestry was added in the late 20th century. The first building was an iron structure, which was replaced by a more substantial edifice in 1909. The tower was extended in 1931 and the Parish Hall was added in the early 1970s. The external stonework is built of yellow sandstone, and there are four distinctive buttresses at the base of the tower. The interior is particularly beautiful, featuring high ceilings and white marble columns. It is home to a number of notable memorials, including a world war one memorial, which commemorates 38 local residents who lost their lives in the conflict.
