Confraria de Nossa Senhora da Quércia dos Macellai is a religious brotherhood or confraria that was founded in Lisbon, Portugal in 1604. The confraria was formed by a group of tradesman, particularly butchers, who wished to give thanks to Nossa Senhora da Quércia for protecting them and their trade. The brotherhood was closed in 1834 but was revived in 1971.
The confraria is dedicated to the Catholic celebration and veneration of the Virgin Mary and particularly, Nossa Senhora da Quércia. Each year, the confraria celebrates a three day festival to honor Our Lady Queen of Heaven and the individual shops of the butchers. The confraria also organizes different activities to promote and support their work, such as workshops and conferences. The confraria also holds a charitable function and organizes financial support for Lisbon residents.
